Key Responsibilities
- Should help identify and pursue upselling opportunities from our existing Large & Medium Ocean and Logistics customer portfolio, as well as bring similar opportunities from new customers to the table.
- Pursue the Vision of Maersk to be an Integrator of Container logistics and work around digital products.
- Manage assigned customers and budget base with a view of build a portfolio and business plan for the next 3 years.
- Develop customer value propositions for all appropriate business opportunities. Strive for consultative sales to distinguish market presence by effectively probing and identifying needs and suggesting solutions to help customers.
- Build a good understanding of target customers, Renewable industry (Wind preferable) and the assigned account base (contact, commodities, trade lanes, type of business, contract information including exceptions and service requirements).
- Establish internal network in India cluster and globally KCD’s to facilitate resolution of customer issues.
- Build understanding of all service offerings to be able to offer integrated solutions.
- Communicate significant trends, rate changes and policies to assigned accounts.
- Ensure Customer Relationship Management tools (Salesforce.com) are updated on time and with high-quality data.
Who we are looking for:
- You should possess enthusiasm, a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
- Logistics work experience of 10 -12 years.
- Would need a certain amount of travel, within the country – depending on business needs.
- Ability to interact with senior stakeholders and build good engagement levels.
- A self-starter, who can work with complex business solutions and work through ambiguity.
- Should be able to be in the constant hunt for new business and ensure their movement through the sales cycle.
- You should have excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills (both written and oral).
- In addition, you should have organizational and time management skills including multitasking, prioritising, and the ability to plan work activities efficiently to meet deadlines.
- A master’s degree would be an asset.
