Job Description
Job Overview: The CCTV and NVR Installation Technician is responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of CCTV cameras, Network Video Recorders (NVR), and related security systems for residential, commercial, and industrial properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation:
- Install CCTV cameras, NVRs, and related security equipment at client sites.
- Mount and set up cameras, ensuring optimal coverage and performance. ( Mount cameras on walls, ceilings, poles, and other structures, ensuring secure and stable installations. )
- Run and connect cables, ensuring neat and professional installations.
- Configure NVRs, cameras, and network settings for seamless operation.
- Configuration and Testing:
- Configure security systems according to client requirements. Set up remote access capabilities, including mobile viewing and alerts.
- Test and troubleshoot installed systems to ensure they meet performance standards.
- Adjust camera angles, focus, and settings to achieve the desired surveillance results.
- Maintenance and Support:
- Perform routine maintenance and updates on installed systems.
- Conduct on-site repairs and adjustments as necessary to keep systems running smoothly.
- Provide technical support to clients, including troubleshooting and resolving system issues.
- Conduct regular system checks and repairs as needed.
- Be available for urgent troubleshooting and repair requests to ensure minimal downtime for clients.
- Client Interaction:
- Communicate with clients to understand their security needs and preferences.
- Provide training to clients on system operation and maintenance.
- Offer expert advice on system upgrades and enhancements.
- Provide comprehensive training to clients and their staff on the operation and maintenance of the installed systems.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of installations, configurations, and maintenance activities.
- Prepare and submit installation and service reports to the Installation Manager.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- A high school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in electronics or related field preferred.
- Experience:
- Proven experience in installing and configuring CCTV and NVR systems.
- Knowledge of IP-based security systems and network configuration.
- Skills:
- Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to handle installation tasks, including climbing ladders and lifting equipment.
Working Conditions:
- Regular travel to client sites for installations and maintenance.
- Flexibility to work outside regular business hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
