Roles and Responsibilities
Responsibilities for System Administrator
- Strong knowledge in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, General Networking, and Debian/Ubuntu Server Administration.
- Software installations and troubleshooting of all types of issues, network setting for TCP/IP, and Internet setup.
- Responsible for troubleshooting Software, Hardware, and Network related queries
- Configuring & troubleshooting of Desktop/Laptops for L1 Managing backup and recovery.
- Configuring & troubleshooting of printer, scanner & LAN related issues reported by users
- Would be responsible for handling new joiners for laptop and mobile configuration, email access, and hardware provisioning
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting of connectivity problems using Ping, Traceroute.
- Troubleshooting hardware, software & networking problems.
- Administration of Linux based operating like CentOS, Redhat, Ubuntu or Debian
- Set up accounts and workstations for clients and internal departments
- Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems.
- Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes
- Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
- Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure
- Lead desktop and help-desk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions
- Build and maintain an internal technical documentation, manuals and IT policies as per the company IT policy
- Maintain the record technical documentation evidence related to the IT asset management in compliance with ISO 27001 Standards
- Provide exceptional customer service to client and liaise with internal department for any technical issues
- Troubleshoot and document issues as per the training provided in the IT Support ticket management software.
- Daily system monitoring in automated way, verifying the integrity and availability of all virtual hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups
- Installation, configuration and maintenance of Backup servers, VPN servers, VOIP Servers, Monitoring Servers, email servers and other services running on premise servers or on client servers.
- Ensure all sensitive and confidential information is held and communicated in accordance with the Data Protection Act
- Server Monitoring using Open source tools like Zabbix and also taking ownership of issues related to issues reported by the monitoring system.
Follow high-level managerial direction while providing timely, accurate and useful feedback and proactive communication on matters of importance to assigned responsibilities
Desired Candidate Profile
- Strong have strong written and oral communication skills
- Linux Troubleshoot (Web Hosting, Lamp, SAMBA, Github, Gitlab, GIT, MongoDB, DHCP, DNS, NFS, FTP, USER PERMISSION, etc).
- Hosting experience PHP, Node, Angular etc.
- Working experience of AWS, Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure, etc.
- VPN, Postfix, Apache, PHP, MySQL, SVN, Kubernetes, Docker and virtualization (KVM) knowledge.
- Virtual Box, Windows / Boot / Hardware / Desktop Troubleshoot
- VNC, RDC (Remote Desktop Connection)
- Cron jobs and Basic shell scripting Knowledge
- Should have knowledge of Open source monitoring tool
