Title: Middleware Support Analyst
Location: Begumpet, Hyderabad
Type of position: Full Time
Work Schedule: This is a 24x7 support team. The ideal candidate would be willing to work night and weekend shifts.
Responsibilities The Middleware Support Analyst is primarily responsible for providing L2/L3 24x7 support in complex and high availability external customer-facing websites. Additional responsibilities include but not limited to the following.
Alert monitoring, perform health checks, trouble-shooting issues, perform escalation, managing bridge calls, perform root cause analysis, and document knowledge articles.
Support web sites (application, middleware & infrastructure tiers) both within the organization and external at the hosting provider
Good communication skills to communicate with customers across the Globe. 4)Having a good understanding of Incident, Change, and Problem Management.
Qualifications Skill Required:
6 years overall IT experience with at least 4 years experience in application middleware administration/support in technologies related to the web (Java, Tomcat, Apache, etc.)
Experience in supporting external customer-facing websites
Experience in developing and maintaining custom web portals to automate administration tasks.
Experience with tools like ServiceNow, JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint, and understanding of ITIL concepts and Agile methodology
Well-developed analytical troubleshooting and problem resolution skills, including the ability to analyze complex situations.
High level of initiative and ownership mentality
Must have experience in Linux platform and shell scripting. Should be able to troubleshoot and support middleware in Linux OS
Good Hands-on experience on Monitoring tools like Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, ITSI
Responsible for creating proactive and reactive monitoring methods, generating customer alerts within the Enterprise Event Management and Monitoring capability
Familiar with Incident and change management process.
Must have good communication and writing skills. Able to drive meetings and coordinate different stakeholders.
Nice to Have:
Experience in some of these technologies preferred: WebLogic, App Dynamics
Experience with centralized Logging platform solutions: Splunk (Preferred) ELK, etc
Awareness of tools like Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Deployment, and operations concepts
Active Directory, F5 BigIP load balancer, Internet Web Caching, Build Tools, CVS, Ansible
Understanding of the application and web security controls, TCP/IP concepts, firewalls, and database preferred
Experience with supporting AutoSys batch jobs desired
Release experience highly desired
