Job Details: Procurement Manager (Location-North Goa)
Role & responsibilities:
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of furniture, wood, furnishings, and construction materials, while maintaining the highest quality standards.
- Supplier Selection: Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers and vendors, both locally and internationally, to build a reliable and diversified supply chain network.
- Negotiation: Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms, including discounts, warranties, and delivery schedules.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain strict quality control standards to ensure all materials and furnishings meet or exceed industry and regulatory standards.
- Cost Management: Monitor and manage procurement budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize procurement processes to minimize expenses.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, forecasting, and demand planning to prevent stockouts and minimize excess inventory.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, contracts, and agreements, ensuring compliance with legal and company policies.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing procurement team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies to make informed procurement decisions.
- Sustainability: Explore and implement sustainable sourcing practices and environmentally friendly materials whenever feasible.
Preferred candidate profile
- Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or in a similar role within the real estate or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of furniture, wood, furnishings, and construction materials sourcing.
- Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
- Familiarity with procurement software and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Understanding of sustainability practices in procurement.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
