Purpose of the Position (Job Summary)
The Incumbent must have 10 years of experience in industrial set-up in Fire & Safety.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Financial
- To be responsible for managing all the administrative and official activities and to adhere Safety Budgets.
Customer Oriented
- To be thorough in mapping Fire evacuation plan.
- To conduct periodical fire drill.
- To work closely with Plant Heads and Plant Safety Team to mitigate NCs
People Oriented
- Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of Safety
- Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting safety employees and operations
- Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention
Internal Business Process
- To inspect and maintain fire and safety equipments across the factory.
- To inspect the functional effectiveness of the hydrants, Monitors, Sprinkles and extinguishers
- To ensure risk free working zone by taking effective safety majors.
- To do routine check of machines and coordinate with the concerned department to maintain the safety condition
- Crisis Management To develop crisis management plan and ensure effectiveness through training and audits.
- To develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines.
- To Investigate accidents or incidents to discover Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA).
- To report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics
- To research and implement new materials handling processes
- To ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies and standards (including OSHA etc.)
- To develop process and systems to monitor Lost Time Accident [LTA], Major and Minor Accidents and implement systems to control and prevent such occurance.
