JOB DESCRIPTION
Role Title
Area Sales Manager (PA vertical) GT :
Essence of Role Key Accountabilities :
Sales & Marketing -
•Effective handling of distributors & sales personnel (Field force) to churn
market potential.
• Increasing availability & presence (visibility) of product throughout the
market.
• Achieving sales target & monthly objectives as per operating the plan.
Collaboration and Execution
• Periodic monitoring & motivation of the ground sales force for enhance sales volume.
• Constantly monitor infiltration & grow users for the product offering.
• Test acceptance, develop resolutions & ensure smooth handover of
products to Distributors.
• Plan, Coordinate & manage to ensure effective operation support from
teams viz. product, billing, product delivery & sales in order to reach revenue targets.
• Co-ordinate new product launch for pricing, sales, marketing & promotions as and when needed.
• Provide product related inputs to Marketing/Sales team for ATL/BTL
campaigns & tie-ups
Role Dimensions
Financial Dimensions • MIS, Sales coordination
Non Financial Dimensions • Coordinate with Settlement of distributors claim & market issues
(complaints) on time.
Location - To be located at Kolkata HQ
Qualifications:
Educational Qualifications
Should be a Graduate with an MBA/PG Diploma in Sales & Marketing/Business Management
Experience Required
- 8-12 years prior experience in a reputed FMCG company, preferably in the
Home and Personal Care segment
- Preferably should have handled multi-state/regional level responsibility in previous assignments
Functional Skills Required
• Understanding of FMCG categories (Personal Care)
• Exposure to Distributor Management
• Sound knowledge of Sales processes

language would be preferred. Ability to communicate fluently in English is
