ROLE SUMMARY
The Digital Manufacturing Team is responsible for the delivery of Pfizer s Core Digital Manufacturing Operations Management (MoM) capabilities at every level of the PGS Plant Network (ISA 95 Levels 0-4). These solutions are critical to Manufacturing Execution, Manufacturing Process Intelligence and Production Optimization that aim to improve product quality, increase asset utilization/uptime, automate manual workflows and streamline plant floor operations.
The Digital Manufacturing Team provides common application platforms and solution capabilities for Digital Plant, Manufacturing Operations, Manufacturing Execution, Manufacturing Insights and Digital Quality solutions, while ensuring a unified User Centric Design. Key to the success of this transformative digital mindset is the secure, seamless flow of contextualized data from the device control levels, all the way to the top of the Enterprise. This group supports the design, development, delivery and digitization of PGS Manufacturing and Engineering processes. Process Areas (Systems) include: Industrial Internet of Things, Enterprise Data Historians, Cybersecurity, Manufacturing Operations Solutions (Manufacturing Intelligence, EAMS Maintenance Mgmt Calibration, Capital Mgmt, Permit to Work, OEE/RTE, Engineering systems), Manufacturing Execution Systems and Manufacturing Innovative Technologies.
The Senior Manager, Manufacturing 4.0 Solution Engineer plays a key role in delivering the future of Advanced Manufacturing Capabilities within the Digital Manufacturing Organization. The colleague will be responsible for leading a team that is creating solutions that execute, monitor and enhance the manufacturing process, while implementing cutting edge technology to augment and immerse shop floor colleagues with the insights they need to increase productivity and simplify their overall experience. You will be part of an exciting team that delivers best in industry solutions across Manufacturing.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Manager, Manufacturing 4.0 Solution Engineer colleague s responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support identifying, scoping, developing, delivering and supporting Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) systems.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and implementation partners to configure, build, and deploy the MES systems.
- Work as part of a cross-functional technical team to ensure a successful implementation of systems and technology.
- Work with business units, application developers, security, and infrastructure engineering to troubleshoot, design and build application integrations that support critical manufacturing processes across operations, quality, and materials.
- Create short and long term strategic roadmaps for Solution Engineering, leveraging best in class technology solutions.
- Manage project priorities including setting targets for milestones to ensure that the team meets the deadline.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers as required.
- Ensuring the entire technology stack is designed and built for speed and scalability.
- Provide Technical GxP process support, while ensuring all solutions are complaint from an Audit and Change Management perspective.
- Act as a thought leader on emerging digital technologies.
- Own DevOps Continous Delivery Integration across all solutions.
- Deployment Hypercare Support with BTAMS.
- Vendor Support Escalation.
- Solution Archival Strategy Performance Management.
- Disaster Recovery Planning .

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Bachelor s Degree required
- Minimum 7 years of experience in,
- MES systems architecture and integration in bio-tech manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience in a bio-tech manufacturing and supply chain environment.
- Understanding of supply chain, manufacturing domains and supporting technology including manufacturing and supply chain ERP systems
- Knowledge of cGMP regulations, including 21CFR part 11, and good documentation practices
- Understanding of Electronic Batch Records (EBR) and Review by Exception (RBE)
- Automation experience in the areas PLCs/PLEs plus Historian configuration is desired
- Good understanding of Webservers (Apache/JOBSS).
- Knowledge of publishing Applications, User access, Printers and Peripheral management in Citrix environment
- Experience in integrating manufacturing systems (ERP, MES, LIMS, automation systems such as PLC and SCADA, etc.)
- Knowledge of manufacturing systems, Industry 4.0 and IIoT
- Experience working in a high speed, open and global manufacturing environment
- Strong Knowledge of Relations databases like Oracle and SQL Server, Networking, OPC Servers, Historians (OSI PI Historian) etc.
- Good understanding of manufacturing industry standards (ISA S88 S95)
- Familiarity with a relevant and globally supported framework both front-end and back-end, if necessary
- Strong experience in MS Office Products (i.e. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) - Required
- Ability to work in ambiguous situations
- Experience in all stages of system and application lifecycle from value analysis, business case development, solution deployment through value realization and system retirement is a significant advantage.
- Ability to work across multiple concurrent activities and successfully adapt to changing priorities as required.
- A thorough understanding of system GMP requirements and demonstrable knowledge of computer system design and maintenance lifecycle in GMP environments.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with SAFe Agile Software Delivery and/or Scrum Master Certification a plus;
- Experience in managing Digital L4 support queues and adhering to defined SLAs (Service Level Agreements)
- Experience in all lifecycle phases of managing SaaS/cloud-based solutions
