As Associate Business Manager, you will handle both the demand and supply side of the business. You will also ensure that all the best prices and choices are showcased on the app to the customers. You will own P&L (profit and loss) account and constantly drive value to your resellers. You will make sure that the number of resellers transacting in your portfolio keeps on increasing, and also that your suppliers continue to thrive.
What you will do
- Decide the right selection and pricing strategy, from shaping the user experience to defining the long term vision for your category
- Drive marketplace growth of your category/business, keeping in mind the consumer needs as well as the competition
- Own the P&L statement for your category and chase targets in alignment with the overall business goals for Meesho
- Take up responsibility for planning your category’s real estate on the platform to ensure a thorough representation of your category
- Ensure customers come to your category to transact
- Identify broader trends and fill in category gaps
- Coordinate cross-functionally with other teams to deliver on strategies
- Facilitate supplier success to giving customers exactly what they’re looking for
- Lead operational tasks – solving supplier issues, monitoring inventory, discounts for sales, and execute strategies you build
- Drive visibility plans, promotion plans, and coordinate between the internal marketing teams and users
What you will need
- Bachelor’s degree in any field
- Minimum 3 years of work experience
- Ability to break down complex challenges to improve categories as a whole
- Ability to take up high ownership to plan and deliver on business-related goals
- Ability to motivate and lead teams - i.e., sourcing supply and managing demand effectively
- Ruthless prioritisation skills between immediate, medium and long term goals
- Ability to analyse data to identify points of failure or even success areas
