Assistant Manager for Contracting & Vendor Management, the incumbent is responsible for negotiation for various packing material with vendors and ensuring the best commercial terms for the business.

Assistant Manager for Contracting & Vendor Management, the incumbent is responsible for negotiation for various packing material with vendors and ensuring the best commercial terms for business.
Principal Accountabilities
- Negotiate rates and other commercial terms for input materials.
- Closely work with Product development team & R&D teams to support existing projects and future innovations
- Deliver cost reduction programs & ensure high level of service delivery, supply relation program and responsible for resolution of all issues related to quality, inventory control, or material availability
- Develop strategies to enhance capabilities of suppliers for PCPBs future requirements
- Evaluate opportunities of contracting and subcontracting and identify areas within procurement for developing the same
- Evaluate the performance of the vendors empaneled and develop new vendors for PM procurement
- Function as a team player to implement end to end solutions across the supply chain, including interactions with the demand planning, manufacturing and logistics teams and other external agencies
- Generation of appropriate MIS and analytics on a regular basis as part of performance management systems
- Responsible for negotiation and costs and terms of contract of all material sourced on the basis of business imperatives / strategies
- To track market conditions, prepare price trends and project future market trends for the material used in the business

Role Requirements / Specifications
- Good analytical skills and comfort with numbers and data
- Good negotiation skills
- Networking skills to manage information across function / location / vendors.
MBA (T-1/2) with 2-5 years experience in FMCG/Pharma
Knowledge & Skills
KNOWLEDGE
- Knowledge of various materials used in the Personal care industry and their relevant vendors
- Knowledge of import and export duties
SKILLS
- Knowledge of tax structures across all the states in India
- Ability to generate appropriate MIS report
