Job Description
Customer Solution Centers are made up of teams that provide remote (offsite) service; customer access, pre sales, post sales, and service delivery. Technical teams focus is to solve various business systems and applications problems for customers, onsite engineering personnel and Authorized Service Providers on standard, specialized or complex systems.
Must Have
•Responsible for Virtualization/ x86 hardware infrastructure.
•Exposure on VMware ESXi 5/ 6 and its associated products.
•Hands on experience in updating / upgrading ESX servers, Virtual Center servers and Windows/ Linux Virtual machines using VMware Update manager and manual upgrades for Patching.
•Proficient in writing in scripts to avoid manual/ time consuming day to day operational activities.
•Monitor, troubleshoot and capacity planning of VMware/ x86 hardware infrastructure and take proactive actions when needed.
•Expert understanding and troubleshooting in vCenters 5.0/ 5.5/ 6.0/ 6.5 and above and services like, snapshot, vMotion, vDS, vSwitch, dvSwtich, HA, DRS, Datastore Cluster, FT, Host Profiles, VMware VCenter Converter, Update Manager, Platform Services Controller etc..
•Experience with basic administration of Windows and/ or Red Hat Linux servers
•Server hardware administration experience
•Cluster Builds (Design/ Deployment)
•Storage Administration and Technologies
•Network Administration and Technologies
•Troubleshooting experience in iSCSI, FC and NAS technology
•Experience in Supporting a Tier 3/ 4 Data Centre projects including server installation, hardware maintenance, and break/ fix activities
Eligibility
•Educational Qualification Bachelor/ Masters in technical field or equivalent experience.
•2 to 6 years of demonstrated experience in Vmware products.
