Our client is tech media startup that is working towards filling the demand for quality content in the social and digital media space through innovative visual storytelling.
The Job
This position is responsible for managing all video editing and post production (including graphics and other design elements) throughout the company's platforms. This is a key role with responsibility to supervise a team of video editors and producers and work closely with the creative and design team to ensure high quality and timely output.
You will be responsible for :
- Leading a full team consisting of video editors, defining and managing post production technical workflow within the larger ecosystem.
- Creating schedules to ensure timely and regular output.
- Overseeing output quality of all video elements and graphics.
- Providing output reports as well as owning and managing the annual post-production budget.
- Familiarity with all aspects of the post-production process including but not limited to, story editing, colour, audio, motion graphics, delivery, and archiving and cataloging.
- Being familiar with current trends, tech and workflows pertaining to post production.
- Sourcing and working with freelance editors, graphics artists among others
The Profile
- You have a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism or Media Studies or equivalent
- You have at least 12 years experience in post-production and video output, with 5 years of supervisory experience.
- You ideally have experience in a broadcast environment.
- You have excellent video editing and communication skills.
- You have superior analytical and interpersonal skills
- You are able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- You are highly-organised and disciplined who is able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
