Roles and Responsibilities
Responsible and accountable for the Design, Development, Testing, Certification of Turbo-machinery components.
Working cross functionally with design, manufacturing, sourcing teams and suppliers to improve overall process and quality.
Driving a root cause analysis of the products technical and manufacturing failures and identifying related corrective actions.
Providing innovative design solutions to meet the timing, product cost and reliability targets.
Driving lessons learned, best practices and standardization into drawings, specifications, design and processes.
Documenting of the work at regular intervals.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor of Engineering with 4+ years relevant experience in turbomachinery industry.
Proficiency in CAD software UG NX (2D, 3D modelling).
Experience in solid modelling, surface modelling, and advance assembly.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office MS Excel, MS Word and MS Power-point etc.
Experienced in Product Development.
Sound Mechanical Engineering Fundamentals and experience with hand calculations.
Knowledge about machine design, materials and manufacturing processes.
Ability to create, read, understand the manufacturing drawings.
Knowledge on Drawing standards as per ASME.
Strong knowledge about the GD&T (ASME 14.5) and tolerance stack-up.
Experience with Fixture Design, Tooling design.
Experience on design and manufacturing process documentation – writing test plans, APQP,
PPAP documents etc.
Knowledge about ISO-9001 / AS9100 documentation.
Knowledge of FEA tools like ANSYS, Nastran is preferred.
