Job Description
The Practice Lead, Global Delivery is part of the IT Transformation team and plays a vital role in executing strategic programs that are part of a comprehensive IT and Digital Transformation that is currently underway. The transformation program seeks to leverage technology to create sustainable competitive advantage for Delta coupled with greater leverage of public cloud capabilities. The individual will focus on vendor management of key IT consulting and services companies from Deltas Global Capability Center in Bangalore known as the Delta Technology Hub (DTH). Key Responsibilities:
Global Delivery / Strategic Partner Management: •
Develop an in-depth understanding of the Global Delivery Network strategy for Delta IT. • Work with the Global Delivery Team to support Delta technology portfolios with employee and contingent workforce planning as well as supporting new and existing engagements, managing demand, and building relationships with our Global Delivery Partners: • Conduct external research on well-positioned vendors in the market aligned with technology needs and requirements for vendor analysis and recommendations • Participate in technology discovery sessions to ensure alignment on vendor deliverables • Drive Deal structuring - Engagement models, Operating Models, Pricing, Governance, RFP, SOW / MSA’s • Align with existing sourcing procedures to manage terms and conditions of priority vendors post contract execution • Utilize data driven metrics to support ongoing governance and process improvement initiatives - Align with stakeholder groups on vendor delivery by performing evaluations on vendor performance, SLA adherence, measurement of terms and condition compliance, and auditing on invoice requests • Governance; Risk Management & Analytics on Agile product delivery with a broad appreciation of infrastructure, information security & DevOps • Coach Global Delivery Partners in applying Industry best practices on project / program delivery, including leverage of their Innovation & Delivery Centers of Excellence • Continuously improve total business value and strategic alignment of global delivery program • Lead cost and delivery optimization opportunities across IT services and consulting companies • Elevate the engagement level maturity with global delivery partners • Identify areas of improvement and partner with stakeholders to drive scalable, global solutions. • Compile periodic and ad-hoc vendor business summaries.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications): •
A minimum of 10 years of experience with a large technology/business consulting organization or a large global company. • MBA preferred. • Experience with IT projects in areas like global delivery, strategic partner management, IT strategy development and IT financial planning. • Experience with vendor management, vendor transitions, Statement of Work (SOW) development, contracting & pricing models. • Knowledge of large IT services companies. • Hands-on experience in managing large & complex engagements • Solutions development attitude and Consulting mindset in all aspects of engagement • Expertise in SDLC / PDLC using Agile and Waterfall methodologies. Prefer candidates who also bring broad appreciation of infrastructure, infosec and devops. • Ability to develop and represent breakthrough business cases & proposals for change / improvements to program – including reviews with senior IT stakeholders • Strong personal-leadership and negotiation skills, we want you to develop and nurture relationships quickly despite obstacles
