Job Description
Job Purpose:
To Plan, Organize, Monitor & Control estimation, commissioning & maintenance of various electrical and Instrumentation projects & Installations at Iron ore mines including their predictive and preventive maintenance in coordination with concerned department, so as to ensure continuous smooth functioning of Electrical and instrumentation control system within budgeted cost with safety and statutory compliances.
Roles and Responsibilities
- To Plan, Organize, Monitor of electrical projects as per time schedule and within budgeted cost.
- To improve availability & reliability of power supply for mining production/operation.
- To promote and harmonize relationships within the work unit so as to ensure teamwork and maintain the Electrical installation.
- To improve availability and minimize downtime of Crushing and Screening plants so as to meet the annual and monthly production target.
- To improve workers Skill through knowledge sharing to maintain sophisticated technology-based equipment at in-house level.
- To ensure the statutory compliance of DGMS, SPCB and other statutory bodies by maintaining the requirements on equipment so as to comply the legal requirements.
- To plan, monitor and control maintenance activities of all AMIPL instrumentation based equipments including Static road weigh bridges, plant instrumentation, D.G set ( Elect.-Part ) and Mobile screen plant by carrying out Maintenance and modification activities to rectify and minimize abnormalities in order to ensure smooth functioning of Electrical & instrumentation control system within budgeted cost.
- Planning for reduction in power consumption, reduction in electrical breakdown hours.
- To ensure the reduction of idle running hours of equipments & replacement of defective motors as well as switch gears other Electrical appliances, improvement in control circuits
To keep the healthiness of power distribution system & ensure periodic maintenance of the system.
Planning, Approving & checking Maintenance of Statutory records as per IE Rules, CEA-2010 & submission of statutory annual returns to DDMS
- Implementation of all applicable Safety Standards without any deviation including Safety, Health & Environment Management.
- Identifying unsafe conditions and practices through periodic safety audits and formulating & executing action plans accordingly.
- To ensure the liasioning with NESCO & other officials for quality power supply & for required permissions & agreements.
- To ensure the liaisoning with DMS (Elect) for permission & safe installations as and when required.
To ensures the testing & commissioning of electrical & instrumentation installations as per time schedule and within budgeted cost.
Desired Candidate Profile
Essential: A diploma/ degree in Electrical Engineering from Govt. recognized institute with LT/HT certificate from Odisha Govt.
Desirable: Conversant with various Acts, Rules & Regulations applicable to Mines.
a. Minimum 5 - 10 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer in mining with organization for high repute.
