Job Description
Role:
Candidate will be required to work at Project site in connection with Erection & commissioning.
Responsibilities:
- Leads mechanical efforts in developing new project/technology.
- Follow all Product Development Phases required to bring concepts into production with supervision from Engineering Supervisor and Manager.
- Prepare presentation on material, design review for meetings with Ho & Site team. Participates and provides value add feedback in Team meetings. Provides technical support to Ho & site team. Responds to questions/ requests in a timely manner.
- Ensure the timely completion of the projects according to the timelines agreed.
- Ensure the material availability for the projects and to raise the indents for materials
- Prepares and follows engineering change requests (ECR) per document control procedures. Supports other engineers in department by checking drawings and provides mark- up for corrections.
- BOQ preparation, Material indents raising as per the policys.
- Ensure the good engineering practices of the projects.
- Daily monitoring of the manpower and work allotment.
- Update the progress of the projects daily and address the concerns to the management.
- Ensure the safety of the people during the execution.
- Co-ordination to other department for timely completion of the projects.
- P&IDs, drawings studying and BOQ/BOM preparations.
- Dealing with consultants & contractors for the design finalization & work completion.
- Ensure the erection / execution of the equipment / piping according to approved layouts/ piping diagrams.
- Supports current product with continuous improvement and supports resolution of internal technical issues.
- Monitoring & ensure the quality of the welding / painting / fabrication activities at site.
- Monitoring project schedule to meet the clients requirements
- Preparation of daily weekly and monthly progress report.
- Budget monitoring of the projects.
- Preparing the technical comparison for various chemical equipment like reactors, centrifuges etc.
- Inspection of the quality of the equipment / material arrived to site.
- Taking care of erection activities of equipment like Boilers, reactors, dryers, Rotary equipments etc. with proper care.
Experience:
- 6+ Years of experience in power plant project.
- Experience in fabrication, Erection & commissioning of steel structure, Boiler, tanks, Rotary equipments etc
- Experience in preparation of Specifications, Data sheets & Technical Bid evaluation of Rotating equipment & packages
- Experience in Selection of Pumps, boilers, Compressors, Turbines & Packages etc.
- Experience in Vendor interaction and review of Vendor & contractors docs/Drawings
Functional Expertise:
- Good technical understanding of Project engineering.
- Good knowledge of Erection & Commissioning of mechanical equipments. Excellent MS Office skills with ability to represent information in forms of documents, graphs, reports and presentations etc.
- Be able to develop personal relationship within team & external customers.
Desired Profile:
- 6 + years of experience in Erection & Commissioning of power plant.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to others.
- Project management experience.
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
